Our Santa Ana team happily treats children of all ages and those diagnosed with certain syndromes and chromosomal abnormalities, such as cleft lip or palate. We also see a large number of patients who span the range of the autism spectrum (ASD). Often, our patients with special needs have complex medical conditions and take multiple medications that require consideration when planning for treatment.
Children with special needs require regular care to maintain their oral health. We find that routine visits help desensitize patients and that over time, patients become more comfortable with each visit.
