Joseph Renzi, Jr., M.A., D.D.S.
Dr. Renzi is a Southern California native who received his undergraduate degree in biology, as well as his master’s degree in biology with emphasis in population genetics and ecology, from the University of California, Los Angeles. He earned his dental degree from Georgetown University and completed his residency in pediatric dentistry at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center.
Dr. Renzi has been a board-certified pediatric dentist for over 25 years and ha been practicing dentistry for over 34 years. He maintains a conscious sedation permit and is an Sr. evaluator for the conscious sedation permit on-site exam for the Dental Board of California.
He is also a Past-President of the Orange County Dental Society and the Southern California chapter of the American Society of Dentistry for Children. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the International College of Dentists, and the American College of Dentists. He is a member of the American Dental Association , the California Dental Association, Orange County Dental Society, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the California Society of Pediatric Dentists, and the Southern California Society of Dentistry for Children. Dr. Renzi is also a member of the Part-Time Faculty at the University of Southern California, Ostrow School of Dentistry.
Dr Renzi has contributed to the community by being the Co-Chair of the Gifted And Talented Education (GATE) advisory board for the Irvine Unified School District. He continues to be involved in legislative issues that affect the profession of Dentistry and the community. He has served organized dentistry by maintaining good working relationships with our elected congressmen.
Dr. Renzi maintains Medical Staff Privileges at Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), St. Joseph's Hospital in Orange, and Western Medical Center, Santa Ana. He is active on the CHOC staff as a Chairperson of the Interdisciplinary Committee. Dr. Renzi has published articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has given several lectures on oral health topics to professional organizations. He continues to do in office research and supports new technologies and develops new techniques.
Each of our doctors maintains an independent schedule to give our patients the most convenient appointment times possible:
Monday: 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
